In this course, students will learn the history of civil rights, fair housing laws and how these affect real estate. The student will gain an understanding of civil rights laws, desegregation issues and other federal and state laws that were created to guarantee that housing is available to all citizens regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, handicap, and familial status. This course is designed to teach real estate licensees to treat all clients equally and understand the importance of Fair Housing laws and the need for their enforcement.
This course is also designed to fulfill the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) requirements for Fair Housing Training. To ensure that your local association will accept this course, we recommend sending them a link to this course description and request approval to take this course. Upon completion, be sure to send them a copy of your completion certificate so they can record that you have fulfilled your Fair Housing Training Requirements.
