This course provides a basic introduction to trust accounts and property management in a real estate brokerage. Students will learn essential requirements and best practices for real estate trust accounts. Topics include account setup, signatures, receiving money, disbursements, ledgers, reconciliation and prohibited activities. Students will then explore the area of property management. Topics include duties of a property manager, trends and statistics, agreements, vacation rentals, affordable housing, and unique aspects of residential property management.
