Instructions for Installing the DocuCove Import Driver: ------------------------------------------------------- The purpose of this import driver is to allow documents from ANY other software to be easily imported into DocuCove. This driver is installed like a printer driver, but it is "unsigned" which requires disabling driver signature enforcement on computers running Windows 8 or later. DISABLE DRIVER SIGNATURE ENFORCEMENT: (Not required for Windows 7 or earlier) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Close all programs 2. Go to Start->Settings->Update & Security->Recovery and click on the "Restart Now" under the Advanced Startup section. It will reboot your system and give you a special menu. 3. Choose Troubleshoot->Advanced Options->Startup Settings->Restart.  It will reboot again and give you another special menu. 4. Hit 7 on your keyboard to choose 7) Disable Device Driver Signature Requirements.  It will bootup again into Windows and you will now be able to install the Import Driver. INSTALL IMPORT DRIVER: ---------------------- 1. Go to Start->Settings->Devices->Add a Printer or scanner 2. Click "The Printer That I Want Isn't Listed" 3. Choose "Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings", then click NEXT. 4. Choose CREATE A NEW PORT, choose LOCAL PORT, click NEXT, type DocuCove for the name, then click OK 5. When asked for the manufacturer, choose HAVE DISK and browse for one of these locations (choose 32 or 64 bit to match your version of Windows): C:\Program Files (x86)\DocuCove\Import Driver 32 Bit or C:\Program Files (x86)\DocuCove\Import Driver 64 Bit 6. Hit NEXT a few times and OK for any security warnings. 7. Do NOT print a test page or set as default printer. 8. Reboot your computer again to re-enable normal driver security. You can now use the import driver! It works like a printer except nothing ever gets printed. Just choose PRINT from any other software and choose "DocuCove" as the printer, and the information will automatically appear in DocuCove.
